About Me

Across all of my work, I am drawn to moments of transition—those times when familiar ways of living no longer fit and something new is asking to emerge. Whether you're entering adulthood, navigating midlife, or facing the changes that come with aging, therapy can offer a place to meet these moments with curiosity, compassion, and greater connection to yourself.

Are you...

...feeling overwhelmed?

...caught in the same thoughts, patterns, or stories?

...wondering if there is more to life than how it feels right now?

If these questions resonate with you, therapy can offer a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and discover new ways of moving through the world.

Who I Am & How I Work

I've called the Bay Area home for over 25 years (born in Ohio in 1978), building a career as a professional dancer, choreographer, and educator. That background continues to shape the way I work as a therapist. Years of studying movement, human expression, and relationships taught me that our experiences live not only in our minds, but also in our bodies. As a queer man, I understand how important it is to feel safe and at home in your body, and to work within your window of tolerance. I bring that same curiosity, presence, and embodied awareness into our work together.

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California, offering psychotherapy that integrates somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Drama Therapy, attachment-based psychotherapy, mindfulness, and existential inquiry. Together, we'll create a collaborative space where all parts of you are welcome—one that supports healing old wounds, cultivating self-understanding, and living with greater authenticity and wholeness.

Who I Work With

I welcome individuals of all genders, identities, and sexual orientations, and my practice centers on supporting people through life's transitions.

I enjoy working with emerging adults as they explore identity, purpose, relationships, and direction. My 15 years of teaching and mentoring university students has given me a deep appreciation for this formative stage of life.

I also have a particular passion for working with men who are navigating life transitions, healing childhood wounds, reparenting themselves, and cultivating a more authentic way of being in the world. My work in psychotherapy and facilitating men's retreats has shown me the transformative power of taking risks, vulnerability, and self-exploration.

I also support older adults and their families as they navigate retirement, dementia, changes in independence, grief, and the emotional and existential questions that often accompany aging. My experience working in assisted living and memory care facilities in SF has deepened my appreciation for the resilience, dignity, and wisdom that remain present throughout every stage of life.

Looking for a Deeper Experience?

I also offer sacred day-long therapeutic journeys for those seeking a more immersive experience for self-exploration, healing, and lasting change. If you're curious about whether this approach is right for you, please inquire.
